Job summary

BMC Software in Poland is seeking an EMEA Senior Tax Associate to join our team, focusing on income tax accounting, compliance, planning, and audits.

You will collaborate with accounting, treasury, and legal to prepare quarterly income tax provisions for 20+ entities, assist with compliance, and forecast cash tax.

RA certification is preferred; large corporate tax experience and US GAAP ASC 740 knowledge are highly desirable; strong communication and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

• RA certification preferred or in process
• Large corporate tax experience preferred; Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
• Strong technical tax background; strong compliance skills
• Proficient knowledge of US GAAP ASC 740 and tax impacts to financial statements
• Well organized; plans, organizes, and monitors performance according to priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly self-motivated; takes initiative; proactive; anticipates situations; identifies and addresses issues; accountable

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly income tax accounting provisions for BMC’s 20+ EMEA entities/countries.
• Assist with outside tax consultants preparation of income tax compliance in each country.
• Review income tax returns prepared by outside consultants and perform accrual calculations.
• Assist with cash tax forecasting.
• Assist with indirect tax matters such as VAT and withholding tax compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of changing tax laws and regulations.
