Job summary

Axalta Coating Systems seeks a Product Stewardship & Regulatory Manager to lead regulatory compliance for the EMEA region. You guide strategy across product stewardship, safety data, and market access, partnering with R&D, manufacturing, and commercial teams.

The role requires a science degree and extensive regulatory experience in coatings or chemicals, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline.
• 10-15 years of work experience in a regulatory or product stewardship function.
• 5-10 years of work experience in the coatings and/or similar specialty chemicals industry.
• 5-10 years prior direct and indirect managerial responsibilities.
• Experience with product management and product development processes.
• Strategic thinking with ability to assess regulatory, business and market trends.

Responsibilities

• Implement product stewardship & regulatory policies across the region.
• Monitor regulatory activities and assess new regulations with impact analyses.
• Guide business functions on new standards and their impact on operations.
• Develop product registration strategies with regional teams.
• Ensure compliance with regional regulations on hazard communication and registrations.
• Respond to customer-driven product stewardship needs in the region.
• Represent the company in regional associations and with authorities.
• Provide training and development for the regional PS&R staff.
• Investigate and report Product Stewardship Incidents and identify preventive measures.
• Develop and track indicators to improve regional team performance.
• Identify best practices and ensure standard tools and processes.
• Maintain information systems for Product and Global Chemical Data Management.
