Job summary

Bain & Company, Inc. in Warsaw is seeking an Accountant, General Accounting to join our EMEA Finance team at the GBS hub. You will own General Ledger activities across EMEA markets, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

The role requires detail orientation, strong Excel skills, and experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Hybrid work with at least 2 days in the office, collaboration with senior finance colleagues across Bain offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 2–3 years of experience in General Ledger accounting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in accounting systems; SAP S/4HANA Cloud is an advantage.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
• Excellent English; Polish language is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage bank reconciliations and posting of statements.
• Prepare and post journal entries including payroll and accruals.
• Review outstanding items and maintain accrual schedules.
• Generate and review trial balance reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of cash and balance sheet accounts.
• Support audit activities, fixed asset reviews and disposals.
• Assist with ad hoc finance requests and reporting as needed.
