Job summary

Geotab seeks an Embedded Systems Test Engineer to design and implement automated testing across firmware and software. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA to define test strategies and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

The role emphasizes embedded hardware/software integration, real‑time constraints, and robust test coverage, with opportunities to improve tooling and testing practices across Geotab platforms.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of QA Automation, Manual Testing, or related testing experience.
• Experience in embedded development and low‑level programming (C preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Solid understanding of software development, QA practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with unit, integration, system, performance, and stress tests using automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for software applications or embedded systems.
• Write tests in Python/pytest and integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define and implement test strategies and ensure test coverage for new features.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to shape testing requirements.
• Monitor results and improve testing processes and tooling.
