Job summary

Google's Pixel Graphics System Software team is seeking engineers to advance GPU graphics and on-device image processing for Pixel devices. You’ll influence the full GPU software stack and collaborate with Android, Pixel Camera, Display, Video and Power teams to push graphics performance.

Ideal candidates have OpenGL ES, Vulkan, or OpenCL experience, plus strong embedded OS skills and a track record in graphics software development for mobile devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of software development experience or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with embedded operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop GPU graphics and compute technologies spanning the full GPU software stack.
• Help evaluate and bring-up devices, and define the role of the GPU in future product designs.
• Debug sophisticated user mode and kernel mode problems.
• Advise Android and Pixel leadership on performance and feature opportunities in graphics software.
• Seek general solutions to problems, minimizing workarounds for Pixel devices.
