Job summary

Scania Industrial Batteries is hiring a Software Engineer to develop software for connected industrial products with a focus on embedded Linux and Go. You will work on device applications, Linux software integration and secure software updates across products.

The role requires strong Linux experience, Go development and collaboration with hardware, cloud and product teams. Hybrid collaboration and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on Go development and automated testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Go services for device communication, telemetry collection, local processing and secure transfer to cloud services.
• Maintain and extend embedded Linux software, including build configuration, application packaging, system images and service integration.
• Develop user interface features and application logic for service, diagnostic and device-management tools.
• Investigate problems across application code, Linux services and network communication using logs, metrics and reproducible tests.
• Apply security best practices to device communication, access control and software updates.
