- Define system behaviour, interfaces, data flows and interactions between embedded devices, sensors, gateways, applications and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate closely with embedded software, hardware, firmware, cloud and product development teams.
- Analyse system architecture and identify dependencies, risks and potential technical gaps.
- Define and maintain system-level documentation, specifications and technical requirements.
- Support the definition of communication protocols and interfaces used between connected devices and other system components.
- Analyse IoT data flows, device states, events and system interactions.
- Support the development and validation of end-to-end system functionality.
- Participate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex system-level issues.
- Work with development and testing teams to ensure that system requirements are correctly implemented and verified.
- Support integration testing and system validation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of system architecture, processes and development standards.
- Act as a bridge between product, software, hardware and engineering teams.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a System Analyst, Systems Engineer, Embedded Systems Engineer or similar role within an embedded, IoT or connected-products environment.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems and the interaction between hardware and software.
- Experience analysing and documenting system requirements.
- Understanding of IoT architectures and connected-device ecosystems.
- Knowledge of communication protocols and technologies used in embedded/IoT environments.
- Ability to analyse system interfaces, data flows and dependencies.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Good understanding of software development and testing processes.
- Ability to investigate complex technical problems and identify root causes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to create clear and structured technical documentation.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
