Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Katowice, Poland is seeking an Engineer, Embedded Software to deliver firmware features for Rockwell Automation products, including industrial controllers and network modules. You will work on network protocols, controller runtime and OS services, collaborating with teams across the globe.

You will join a 6–8 person embedded team, report to the Team Leader/Manager, and benefit from a hybrid schedule in Katowice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation and Robotics or related IT field.
• Typically 2+ years of practical software development experience in C++, with lifecycle development methodologies.
• Knowledge of network protocols, embedded systems architecture, or real-time OS (e.g., QNX, VxWorks).
• Typically 2+ years of embedded firmware development and debugging.
• Experience with GitHub/GitLab and Jenkins CI/CD.
• Fluent English (B2+).
• Can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware components for Rockwell Automation devices.
• Implement and validate features like network protocols, controller runtime functions, or platform services.
• Perform firmware debugging and root cause analysis; write unit and integration tests for CI/CD workflows.
