Job summary

Alcon Warszawa seeks an experienced EFA Reporting Manager to drive consolidated KPI reporting, ensure accurate EFA accounting, and support strategic decision making for global eye health initiatives.

You will partner with regional teams to address risks, share best practices across countries, and lead trainings for commercial and finance stakeholders. Hybrid work, modern office, and extensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration.
• CPA or equivalent designation.
• Fluency in English.
• Around 5 years' experience in financial reporting and accounting.
• Experience with ERP and SAP.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate consolidated KPI reports and follow up with stakeholders.
• Attend regional EFA committee minutes and monitor financial risks.
• Collaborate with local teams to reflect risks in EFA reporting.
• Share best practices across countries by trainings on EFA management.
• Act as subject matter expert with FRA and BPA teams for EFA reporting.
• Conduct the annual BCCR process with FRA and BPA.
• Review outputs with C&R, technical accounting and CAO before implementation.
• Develop understanding of EFA accounting rules and AFCM controls.
• Build SAP experience on transactional EFA accounting.
• Demonstrate advanced financial analytical skills.
• Oversee C&R compliance steps over global EFA reporting.
• Review affiliate EFA reporting and compliance based on risk.
• Coordinate with Internal Audit and FRA for EFA reporting reviews.
• Follow up with FRA on control observations and impact on reporting.
• Draft EFA slides for monthly closing and quarterly decks.
• Collaborate with master data, R2R GPO and FCRS/APMR teams for efficient reporting.

EFA Reporting Manager

EFA Reporting Manager EFA Reporting Manager is critical to the global Equipment Financing Arrangements (EFA) performance for the long-term benefit of Alcon Group by ensuring accurate and timely FRA analysis. Senior management receive the reporting output to assist in driving business decisions and provide the necessary comfort for external reporting requirements. This is an individual contributor role.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Business Partnering
  • Generate the consolidated KPI reports, communicate and follow-up on the observations with stakeholders
  • Attend or receive the minutes from the regional EFA committees that cover financial risks.
  • Work with the local teams to ensure the risks are addressed and accurately reflected in the EFA reporting
  • Best practices sharing across countries by conducting trainings in the areas of EFA management to all key stakeholders in commercial and in finance
  • Be the subject matter expert and work with affiliate FRA and BPA teams to ensure accurate EFA reporting
  • Conduct the annual BCCR process in collaboration with the affiliate FRA and BPA associates.
  • Review the output with C&R, technical accounting and CAO before implementation.
• Technical
  • Develop deep understanding of EFA accounting rules and EFA AFCM controls
  • Build SAP experience on transactional EFA accounting
  • Develop and demonstrate advanced financial analytical skills
• Financial compliance
  • Responsible for the C&R compliance steps over global EFA reporting
  • Review of selected affiliate EFA reporting and financial compliance over EFA accounting based on risk assessment resulting from the review of monthly reporting
  • As requested, work with Internal audit and local FRA teams in the review of EFA financial reporting (FCRS and associated AFCM controls)
  • Follow-up with local FRA teams on EFA related control observations and access the impact to global FRA reporting
• Collaboration across C&R
  • Responsible for the first drafting of the EFA slides in the monthly closing deck and quarterly balance sheet review deck in collaboration with the other members of the C&R reporting lead team
  • Collaborate with the master data, R2R GPO and FCRS/APMR teams to ensure an efficient EFA reporting process

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• University level degree in Accounting / Finance or Business Administration
• CPA or equivalent
• Fluency in English
• Relevant work experience about 5 years with strong background in: Financial Reporting & Accounting or Public Accounting
• Good understanding of Accounting & Reporting systems and processes
• Experience with ERP systems as well as relevant financial sub-systems
• Ability to work cross functionally and in a team environment
• Excellent analytical ability
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Project management and leadership skills
• Self-starter and result-oriented mindset
