Job summary

The The Tadeusz Manteuffel Institute History of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw is seeking a Postdoctoral researcher to conduct independent projects on the early modern period within the Department of Source Criticism and Editing. You will present at Department meetings and help prepare grant proposals.

You will conduct library and archival queries, participate in conferences, and contribute to research initiatives while meeting national higher education requirements.

Qualifications

• Hold at least a doctoral degree in the humanities with an outstanding record in the early modern period.
• Experience in prosopography is welcome.
• Experience in archival research in Poland and abroad is preferred.
• Good command of a modern foreign language, English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement individual research projects concerning the early modern period within the Department of Source Criticism and Editing.
• Present at least two papers per year at Department meetings.
• Prepare grant proposals and participate in research initiatives of the Institute.
• Attend scientific conferences and lectures and conduct library and archival queries.
• Fulfill requirements under Polish higher education regulations, including research evaluation procedures.
