Job summary

Radley James is partnering with a large international financial services organisation to hire an experienced .NET Engineer for a global engineering team working on cloud-native banking platforms.

This hands-on contract role focuses on building and operating scalable backend services in a modern cloud environment, designing REST APIs with C#/ .NET, and implementing CI/CD, DevSecOps, Terraform, and container platforms across Europe.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with C#, .NET, REST APIs, testing, source control, CI/CD, and production support.
• Experience with secure coding, authentication/authorization, logging, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Ability to work across the delivery lifecycle from refinement to deployment and defect resolution.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services using .NET/C# and ASP.NET.
• Work with event-driven systems and streaming platforms (e.g. Kafka / Pub/Sub).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and container platforms.
• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and compliant with regulated industry standards.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services using .NET / C# and ASP.NET
• Work with event‑driven systems and streaming platforms (e.g. Kafka / PubSub)
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and container platforms
• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and compliant with regulated industry standards
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams across Europe

Required Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with C#, modern .NET, REST APIs, integration patterns, automated testing, source control, CI/CD, and production support.
• Relevant frontend experience with the proposed web or application framework; the vendor must state the frontend technology proficiency of each engineer.
• Experience with secure coding, authentication and authorisation, logging, monitoring, error handling, performance, and resilient service design.
• Ability to work across the delivery lifecycle, including refinement, design, implementation, peer review, testing, documentation, deployment, and defect resolution.
