Job summary

Ørsted Baltica 2 project in Ustka seeks a Control Engineer responsible for coordinating HV switching operations, overseeing SCADA systems and fault resolution, and ensuring compliance with Electrical Safety Rules. You will work in the Control Room and collaborate with offshore teams to manage HV installations and SCADA alarms.

You will also interface with the grid operator, develop switching protocols, and support fault finding, training, and REMIT notifications.

Qualifications

• Strong safety mindset and professional approach to electrical work.
• Bachelor, Master, Diploma or equivalent in electrical engineering or similar.
• Experience in switching operations in high and/or medium voltage systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Polish, able to work independently or in a team.
• Solid IT skills with MS Office and cloud tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate switching operations as an authorized switch operator.
• Interface with the national grid operator (PSE).
• Create and review switching protocols and permits; participate in risk assessments.
• Monitor alarms in the SCADA system and respond to faults.
• Instruct external staff on electrical safety rules and procedures.
• Support fault finding and resolution; create work orders in SAP.
• Contribute to market notifications (REMIT).
• Improve Control Room processes; complete required training.

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for coordinating all high-voltage switching operations within Offshore Windfarm Baltica 2, located in Ustka. You will act as a Control Engineer according to Ørsted Electrical Safety Rules, overseeing SCADA systems, coordinating and executing switching operations, and managing fault resolution in SCADA and IT systems.

You’llbe part ofControlRoom team.Together with your colleagues,youwillbecontrollingand managing all HV- and LV-electrical operations on site.Advise operationally on high voltage electrical installations to WTG, offshoresubstationsand HV submarinecables.As a team, we prioritize safety and collaboration.

You’llplayan important rolein:

• conducting switching operations as an authorized switch operator in collaboration with the offshore team
• interfacing with the national grid operator (PSE)
• creating and reviewing switching protocols, including execution permits(PtW),participatingin risk assessments for offshore work authorization
• monitoring and handling alarms in the SCADA system
• instructing external company employees on electrical safety rules
• supporting fault finding and resolution, including creating work orders in SAP
• contributing to the development of market notifications (REMIT)
• improvingprocesses in the Control Room,successfully completing relevant training and education.

To succeed in the role, you:

• have a strong safety mindset
• hold a professional qualification in electrical engineeringor similar(Bachelor, Master, Diploma, or equivalent)
• have experience in switching operations in high and/or medium voltage systems
• can work both independently and as part of a team,possessexcellent communication skills (English andPolish)
• have IT user skills (Microsoft Office, cloud applications)
• work thoroughly and systematically, even undertimepressure
• demonstrate high personal and professional reliability.
