Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Director, Corporate Counsel – Artificial Intelligence to advise on responsible AI governance and product counseling across the business. The role focuses on AI governance, product counseling, and AI-related contracting support in partnership with Commercial Legal.

You will translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance, assess AI use cases, and help teams implement safeguards while partnering with senior counsel and governance reviewers on

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant legal experience in technology transactions, product counseling, data privacy, IP, or consumer protection.
• Experience with retail or e-commerce is preferred but not required.
• Experience collaborating with technical and cross-functional teams is preferred.
• Exposure to AI governance, AI-related technology agreements, or AI-enabled products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor AI regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance.
• Advise product and business teams on AI-enabled products throughout their lifecycle.
• Draft and negotiate AI-specific contractual provisions and data rights terms.
• Develop AI policies, templates, and playbooks with senior counsel and governance reviewers.
