Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced PLM Transformation Lead to drive global PLM programs in engineering and manufacturing. You will align PLM strategy with digital transformation and promote data-driven decisions across sites.

You will integrate PLM with ERP/MES, enable the Digital Thread, and apply Lean, Six Sigma and Industry 4.0 concepts to optimize cross-functional processes. Travel up to 30% will be required.

Qualifications

• Strong background in IT and digital transformation with deep PLM knowledge.
• Experience leading global PLM transformation programs in engineering and manufacturing.
• Advanced knowledge of connecting PLM to manufacturing processes incl. mBOMs, process plans, routings, ERP and MES integration.
• Proven ability to manage vendors and virtual teams across geographies.
• Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma and Industry 4.0 concepts for cross-functional optimization.
• Excellent communication in multicultural environments; fluent English.
• Available for up to 30% travel to deploy at global plants and sites.

• Integrate PLM with ERP, MES, and downstream systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process integration
• Act as a promoter of the Digital Thread and configuration management, expanding traceability, collaboration and decision‑making along the value chain
• Optimize cross‑functional processes using Lean and Six Sigma, with a focus on BOMs, process plans, roadmaps, and supply chain integration
• Engage business and IT stakeholders, capturing complex requirements and facilitating global collaboration
• Drive PLM governance and change management, supporting the adoption of new tools and continuous improvement initiatives
• Act as a reference expert in PLM, guiding teams and supporting training on platforms such as Windchill or Teamcenter
• Ensure compliance with applicable internal and external standards, procedures and guidelines

Requirements

• Relevant experience in IT and digital transformation, with a strong background in Computer Science or Engineering and deep knowledge of PLM systems and strategy
• Experience leading global PLM transformation programs in engineering and manufacturing, with hands‑on experience in Windchill, Teamcenter or similar platforms
• Advanced knowledge of the processes that connect PLM to manufacturing, including mBOMs, process plans, routings, and integration with ERP and MES
• Proven ability to manage third‑party vendors and virtual delivery teams on a global scale, ensuring alignment across distributed stakeholders
• Application of Lean, Six Sigma and Industry 4.0 concepts for optimization of cross‑functional processes in engineering, supply chain, quality and procurement
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English and proven experience in multicultural and multinational environments
• Travel availability of up to 30%, supporting deployments at global engineering plants and sites, as well as stakeholder relationships
