Your impact

The Digital Data Poland Technical Lead serves as the primary technical authority and trusted advisor for Digital & Data initiatives within Poland. This role provides technical leadership across client engagements, internal projects, and strategic initiatives, ensuring that solutions are architecturally sound, scalable, and aligned with Jacobs’ standards and long‑term technology strategy.

Working closely with Project Managers, Delivery Leads, Architecture Practice Lead, and business stakeholders, the Technical Lead supports solution design, challenges technical assumptions, guides technology decisions, and helps build high‑performing project teams.

The role also plays a key part in developing technical capabilities within the Poland Digital & Data team by aligning project opportunities with individual development goals, identifying skill gaps, and fostering technical excellence.

In addition to advisory and leadership responsibilities, the Technical Lead actively contributes to internal and client projects, providing hands‑on expertise, mentoring team members, and supporting innovation initiatives across the Digital & Data portfolio.

Reponsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight across Digital & Data projects and initiatives.
  • Support client engagements by participating in workshops, discovery sessions, technical discussions, and solution presentations.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for project teams, delivery leads, and stakeholders.
  • Review, challenge, and validate solution architectures to ensure alignment with best practices, business requirements, scalability, security, and maintainability standards.
  • Work closely with Architecture Practice Leads to ensure consistency of technical approaches and adherence to enterprise architecture principles.
  • Support project planning activities by identifying required technical capabilities and recommending appropriate team composition.
  • Collaborate with managers and delivery leaders to assign the right resources to projects based on skills, experience, development objectives, and business needs.
  • Help shape career development paths for technical team members by aligning project assignments with capability growth opportunities.
  • Identify skill gaps within the Poland Digital & Data team and contribute to capability development plans.
  • Promote technical excellence, engineering best practices, and knowledge sharing across the organization.

  • Participate in internal innovation initiatives, proof‑of‑concepts, and technology evaluations.
  • Actively contribute to internal and client projects, providing subject matter expertise and hands‑on support where required.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, identifying opportunities to enhance Digital & Data capabilities.
  • Drive standardization and reuse of architectural patterns, frameworks, accelerators, and best practices across projects.
  • Foster collaboration between Digital & Data teams, Global Technical Excellence, Architecture practices, and business stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of delivery processes, technical governance, and engineering standards.

  • Strong understanding of solution architecture principles, system integration patterns, cloud‑native architectures, and modern software development practices.
  • Experience reviewing and challenging technical designs and architectural decisions to ensure scalability, maintainability, security, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with clients and stakeholders, facilitating technical workshops, discovery sessions, and solution discussions.
  • Experience supporting pre‑sales activities, including solution shaping, effort estimation, technical proposals, and customer presentations.
