Job summary

Creotech Instruments is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in Warsaw to design, build and operate internal platforms that support space-tech development and mission-critical systems.

You will work with software, cybersecurity, systems engineering and mission teams to keep the environment secure, scalable and reliable, while advancing automation and self-service capabilities across engineering groups.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE or infra roles.
• Experience operating production-grade infra and supporting engineering teams.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Practical Kubernetes in production.
• Experience managing CI/CD platforms and pipelines.
• IaC and configuration management experience.
• Understanding of networking, storage, TLS and performance analysis.
• Programming/scripting in Python, Go, C#, Java or C++.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Operate and evolve the organization’s CI/CD platform and build infrastructure.
• Design and maintain observability solutions covering metrics, logging, tracing and alerting.
• Build and manage infrastructure through IaC and automation-first practices.
• Maintain software artifact repositories, container registries and distribution services.
• Design, implement and regularly validate backup, recovery and DR procedures.
• Improve platform reliability, security and operational efficiency.

Build the Infrastructure Behind Space Missions

Your Role

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will help design, build and operate the internal platforms that support the development and operation of advanced space technologies.

You will work closely with software engineers, cybersecurity specialists, systems engineers and mission teams to ensure our engineering environment remains secure, scalable and reliable.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating and evolving the organization’s CI/CD platform and build infrastructure.
• Designing and maintaining observability solutions covering metrics, logging, tracing and alerting.
• Building and managing infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code and automation-first practices.
• Maintaining software artifact repositories, container registries and distribution services.
• Designing, implementing and regularly validating backup, recovery and disaster recovery procedures.
• Improving platform reliability, security and operational efficiency.
• Developing self-service capabilities that simplify infrastructure consumption across engineering teams.
• Supporting the implementation of DevSecOps practices and secure-by-design solutions.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Experience operating production-grade infrastructure and supporting engineering teams.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience managing CI/CD platforms and build pipelines.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
• Understanding of networking, storage systems, TLS, PKI and system performance analysis.
• Programming or scripting experience in at least one language such as Python, Go, C#, Java or C++.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions.
• Communicative English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience with self-hosted observability platforms.
• Knowledge of secrets management solutions and PKI operations.
• Experience with Identity and Access Management systems.
• Experience administering virtualization platforms through automation.
• Familiarity with air-gapped, regulated or high-assurance environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience supporting mission-critical or high-availability systems.
• Interest in space technologies and satellite systems.
