Job summary

MPower Plus is seeking a contract (B2B/freelancing) IT professional for Krakow. The role focuses on Ansible, GitLab pipelines and shell scripts with Python, plus Java basics and build structure knowledge.

You will support a globally deployed software solution, define standards, and drive CI/CD and DevOps practices. Ideal candidates bring 6+ years IT experience (4+ in Java), strong SQL (Oracle) and exposure to cloud tools like Azure, Databricks or Denodo.

Qualifications

• 6+ years IT experience with 4+ years Java app development (Spring a plus).
• Solid SQL skills; experience with Oracle; MongoDB a plus.
• Experience developing and maintaining Java-based apps.
• Experience driving CI/CD and continuous improvements.
• Ability to define architecture, standards and guidelines for a global solution.
• Familiar with Git, GitLab Pipelines, Nexus, Ansible; RPM packaging is beneficial.
• Familiar with MS Azure Cloud, Databricks and Denodo are advantageous.
• Linux-based server environment proficiency with Bash scripting.
• Strong SDLC and support lifecycle understanding.
• Excellent written and verbal business communication; global team experience.
• Good prioritization, time management, and analytical skills.

Job Description

Primary : Ansible, Gitlab pipeline and shell scripts with a bit of python ( must be strong)

Secondary : Java ( Basics, how to build a Java project, what is pom.xml, How to structure a Java project and generate the build artifact)

• Overall 6+ years of IT experience including 4+ years of experience developing Java applications (Spring framework would be a plus)
• Solid SQL database skills (ideally Oracle and experience working with Mongo DB would be a plus)
• Should be able to develop and maintain Java based applications
• Should be able to drive continuous integration and improvements
• Should be able to drive architecture, standards and guidelines for a globally deployed software solution
• Familiar with DevOps tools, such as Git, GitLab Pipelines, Nexus, Ansible, RPM packaging would be beneficial
• Familiarity with MS Azure Cloud platforms and knowledge of Databricks, Denodo would be beneficial
• Comfortable in a Linux based server environment incl. bash (shell) scripting
• Good understanding of all aspects of the application development (SDLC) and support life cycle
• Well-developed business communication skills – both written and verbal and experience working as part of a global team
• Strong personal prioritization and time management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure things out)
