Job summary

Infinity Quest Limited is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer for Krakow, Poland, on a 12-month contract with renewal potential. The role is onsite two days per week, requires fluent Polish and English, and involves building a resilient GCP foundation, implementing IaC with Terraform, and ensuring security and compliance across cloud services.

You will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and on-call rotations, contributing to scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and robust deployment

Qualifications

• Experience building services in a cloud provider, ideally GCP.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, IaC concepts and practices.
• Solid CI/CD experience with tooling.
• Experience configuring SDN within a CSP (VPCs, XPN).
• Focus on security/compliance (IAM, auditing, monitoring).
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage the CLIENT GCP foundation platform to enable application deployments.
• Engineer solutions on GCP using Infrastructure as Code methods (Terraform).
• Integrate, configure, deploy and manage common cloud services (IAM, networking, logging, OS, containers).
• Ensure compliance with central security and operational risk standards.
• Update support and operational documentation; ensure change management is followed.
• Provide out-of-hours support on a rotational on-call basis.

Job Description

• The Cloud DevOps engineers will work within an agile team of Engineers and Operations personnel building highly resilient, scalable and performant GCP infrastructure in an automated and efficient manner. The DevOps engineers will work alongside the Application DevOps teams and cross-functional IT teams. The engineers will be required to use their initiative to innovate to achieve maximum performance and be prepared to investigate and use new products/services offered by GCP.
• Build and manage the CLIENT GCP foundation platform to enable application deployments
• Engineer solutions on GCP foundation platform using Infrastructure As Code methods (e.g. Terraform)
• Integrate, configure, deploy and manage centrally provided common cloud services (e.g. IAM, networking, logging, Operating systems, Containers.)
• Ensure compliance with centrally defined Security
• Ensure compliancy with Operational risk standards (E.g. Network, Firewall, OS, Logging, Monitoring, Availability, Resiliency)
• Update support and operational documentation as required
• Ensure good Change management practice is implemented as specified by central standards.
• On a rotational on call basis provide out of business hours support as part of our 24 x 7 coverage

Requirements:

• Experience of building a range of Services in a Cloud Service provider (ideally GCP)
• Expert understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as a Code concepts and techniques
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and available tools
• Experience configuring SDN within a CSP (VPC’s, XPN etc.)
• Security and Compliance, e.g. IAM (ADFS, OAuth) and cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools
• Ability to build strong relationships with Application teams, cross functional IT and global/local IT teams
• A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change. Including excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
