Your Role

As a Development Strategy Lead, you will coordinate strategic initiatives and execute pivotal activities to grow the Development function in Gdansk. In close collaboration with the Development Site Head and cross‑functional teams, you will align local efforts with global strategies while driving partnerships with academia and external stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and coordinating all aspects of growing the Development function at the Gdansk site, in alignment with the Development Site Head.
• Building and managing external partnerships to support sustainable growth, with a focus on collaborations with local academia.
• Representing the Development function at fairs, trades, and specialized conferences, strengthening LEO Pharma’s visibility and influence.
• Identifying and proposing business or government partnerships that contribute to the growth of the Development function.
• Driving employer branding efforts tailored to the Development function’s needs, ensuring alignment with talent strategies.
• Managing internal initiatives and events for the Development function, ensuring they align with the global strategy.

Your Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should bring:

• A Master’s degree in Life Sciences (Pharma, Biotech, or related field).
• Experience in drug development, preferably with innovative molecules.
• Proven record of leading and coordinating strategic initiatives in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage external partnerships, particularly with academic institutions.
• Strong networking and representation skills at pharmaceutical events, fairs, and conferences.
• Solid knowledge of the Polish pharma job market and emerging industry trends.
• Fluency in English.
• Capability to identify and propose strategic business and governmental partnerships.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills, with experience delivering internal projects and events.
• Familiarity with employer branding initiatives focused on the pharmaceutical sector is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal savvy, resilience, and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
• A demonstrated ability to drive execution and follow up on strategic plans effectively.

Your New Team

As a Development Strategy Lead, you will collaborate closely with the Development Site Head in Gdansk, local Development Managers, HR teams, and communication professionals. You’ll form strong relationships to ensure that local actions resonate with broader organizational goals. Through this collaborative approach, you will actively shape the Gdansk site’s growth and contribute to impactful global projects.
