Job summary

Signify is seeking a Development Engineer Mechanics Intern to join our R&D team in Ketrzyn. The role offers hands-on experience in a global market-leading company focused on sustainable lighting solutions.

You will work 20-25 hours per week, supporting early-stage product development, CAD design in SolidEdge, and cross-rotational training to understand production and testing processes.

• Fresh graduate or student in mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support all stages of a new product development project: requirements assessment, design proposals, technical documentation, prototyping and testing.
• Create 3D designs and 2D documentation in SolidEdge; build prototypes for testing.
• Learn our organization, product portfolio and product architecture.
• Get trained in production processes, lab activities, project structure and industrialization across rotations.
• Learn and apply tools and methodologies used in development.

More about the role

We're looking for a Development Engineer Mechanics Intern to join our R&D team in Ketrzyn. We're on the lookout for forward-thinking innovators with a passion for sustainability.

What you'll do

• Support your team at all stages of a new product development project, starting with requirements assessment, design proposals, technical product documentation, prototyping and testing.
• Support to create designs (3D) and technical documentation (2D) in CAD environment (SolidEdge), building prototypes and samples for testing.
• Learn our organization and product portfolio and product architecture.
• Acquire the knowledge and get trained in our production process, laboratory activities, project structure, and industrialization of our products in different rotations.
• Learn and use tools and methodologies used in the development process.

Your qualifications

• You are a fresh graduate or you have ongoing university studies in the mechanical engineering field
• Availability to work at least 20-25 hours a week (preferably 40h)
• Organizational skills, which grant you the ability to prioritize your tasks effectively
• Good problem-solving skills with great attention to details
• Good command of English language
