Job summary

ABB in Poland is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead electrical automation projects for low-voltage switchboards, focusing on control, protection, monitoring and communication systems. You will manage projects, coordinate with clients, prepare concepts and documentation, compile material lists, develop program logic, upload and test software on switchgear, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Occasional travel to clients may be required.

Qualifications

• Higher education in electrical engineering, power engineering, automation or related.
• Proficient spoken and written English and Polish.
• Teamwork and ability to work under time pressure.
• Strong organization, independence and accountability.
• Willingness to travel to the client occasionally.
• Motivation to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Technical management of assigned projects and tasks.

Senior Engineering Manager

Summary Role / Goal

The electrical automation engineer prepares electrical documentation for low-voltage switchboards in terms of control, protection, monitoring and communication elements, and prepares and tests the operation of the switchboard in the scope of the above-mentioned systems.

Basic duties and responsibilities

• Technical management of entrusted projects and tasks,
• Contact with the client in the scope of execution of current orders,
• Development of concepts and preparation of documentation in the scope of control, protection, monitoring and communication systems based on the client's offer and specification,
• Preparation of necessary material lists,
• Preparation of necessary programs and descriptions of operation,
• Uploading programs and testing the correct operation of the switchgear in the scope of control, protection, monitoring and communication systems,
• Technical support and cooperation with other teams at individual stages of the project,
• Coordination of the final acceptance of the project in the presence of the client,
• Support for the client in starting up the switchgear on the site,
• Timely and effective implementation of entrusted projects and tasks.

Required qualifications

• Higher education in electrical engineering, power engineering, automation or related,
• Communicative knowledge of English and Polish in spoken and written,
• Ability to work in a team and under time pressure,
• Good work organization, high independence and responsibility for assigned tasks,
• Willingness to occasionally travel to the client,
• Strong motivation and willingness to acquire knowledge.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in designing low-voltage switchboards,
• Experience in programming industrial controllers and protections,
• Experience in designing and commissioning industrial communication networks,
• Ability to use EPLAN Electric.
