Job summary

Distillery is seeking a Data Engineer (Azure & Databricks) to embed within a client data team. You will migrate reporting logic from Power BI/Excel into a governed Databricks Lakehouse and collaborate with business users to validate metrics and document knowledge transfer.

You will design scalable data models, build silver/gold layers, and contribute to data governance, privacy controls, and self-service access. Remote role with USD compensation.

Qualifications

• Strong data modeling to ensure truth and scalable performance.
• Hands-on Databricks incl. PySpark, SQL, notebooks, Delta Lake, medallion architecture.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business SMEs to map reporting processes and metrics.
• Reverse-engineer Power BI and Excel logic to source layers.
• Design and build silver and gold layers in Databricks with governance.
