Job summary

Paralucent in Canada is seeking a Databricks Data Engineer to design, develop, and support an Enterprise Data Platform transformation. You will build scalable data pipelines, optimize ETL/ELT processes, and collaborate with data architects and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions across reporting, analytics, AI initiatives.

The role requires hands-on Databricks development, 3+ years minimum, plus experience with cloud data platforms, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, and Spark.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Databricks development experience.
• 4+ years of overall Data Engineering, ETL, or Data Integration experience.
• Strong experience building ETL/ELT data pipelines and transformation processes.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and large datasets.
• Familiarity with Agentic frameworks and AI-assisted coding is a plus.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, data lake and lakehouse concepts.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines within the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for ingestion, transformation, and integration.
• Develop scalable data solutions using Databricks and cloud technologies.
• Support migration from legacy environments to modern data platforms.
• Collaborate with Data Architects to implement scalable data models.
• Develop data transformation logic and workflows to support analytics needs.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across platforms.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and release activities.
• Work with business stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose data solutions.
