We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Database Administrator to support mission-critical Linux-based platforms within Enterprise Infrastructure. You will provide operational database support for IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG), IBM Connect:Direct, BMC Control-M. This is a production-facing role including weekend change implementation and participation in an on-call rota.

Responsibilities
- [Database Administration: install, configure and maintain databases (Oracle), patch management and upgrades (database layer), backup, restore, recovery validation, performance troubleshooting and tuning , Production Support (L2/L3): incident analysis and resolution (database-related), RCA contribution for incidents, log analysis (DB + Linux level), stabilisation work after changes/releases , Platform Support (Linux-based): work closely with Linux admins and application teams, troubleshoot interaction between database layer, application layer (Control-M / SFG), OS layer, validate DB health , Change & Maintenance: execute weekend production changes, perform database changes during controlled maintenance windows , On-Call Participation in 24/7 on-call rota: out-of-hours incident response, weekend production support when required]
