Job summary

Solid seeks an experienced data testing professional to design and implement automated test frameworks for enterprise data solutions. You will collaborate with developers to ensure robust data quality through Databricks testing, ETL validation, and BI report checks.

The role requires 5+ years in software testing with strong data testing skills, SQL proficiency, and experience in CI/CD environments such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software testing experience with data testing.
• Experience with enterprise-scale data solutions and complex data platforms.
• Strong SQL and database knowledge for data validation.
• Hands-on Databricks and ETL/data pipeline testing.
• Programming skills in Python, C#, and/or TypeScript.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated testing frameworks for data solutions.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO), ADO Pipelines, and GitHub.
• Ability to work closely with developers and maintain test code/repositories.
• English level Intermediate+ and above.

Responsibilities

• Understand data and data-record testing requirements.
• Analyze data testing requirements and define appropriate test coverage.
• Design automated tests rather than performing manual SQL validation.
• Build a data test automation framework from scratch.
• Develop test code alongside developers.
• Maintain test code in GitHub or a separate test repository.
• Automate test design, test execution, and test reporting.
• Integrate automated tests into ADO pipelines / CI/CD.
• Validate data against source systems.
• Perform automated data reconciliation.
• Test data transformations / ETL processes.
• Work with databases and writing SQL queries.
• Test data within Databricks.
• Test Power BI reports, dashboards and paginated reports.
• Ensure automated tests provide consistent and reliable results.
• Work with AI/LLMs as part of the testing approach.
• Think about verification in the context of the wider enterprise application.
• Work closely with developers during development and testing activities.
