Job description

HYBRID WORK MODEL: 3 DAYS PER WEEK (60%) IN OUR WROCLAW OFFICE AND 2 DAYS REMOTE

About us

Hi, we are Ten Square Games, and we live games! No, not a typo - but a level up from loving! We are on a mission of giving players excellent outdoor experiences on their mobiles. With global hits, such as Fishing Clash, we know how to make the best of technology, fun, and fair play. With 77 million registered players in 2024 and 300+ people on board, we keep growing and learning, having the insatiable hunger for the next success. If you also like to explore the unknown and know how to own it, we want to work with you!

What is this job all about?

In the R&D team, our Data Scientists (f/m/d) help improve the gaming experience for our players. You’ll work hand-in-hand with product, design, and engineering teams to turn complex player data into deep analyses, experiments, and insights that shape what we build next. As a data enthusiast, you’ll translate business and product questions into analytical problems - and their results into clear recommendations for our Product Management colleagues. Whether you're building a segmentation model, designing an A/B test, or explaining your findings to team leaders, you'll play a key role in enhancing the gaming world.

Requirements

What will you be doing?

  • We work end-to-end the entire journey of an analytical problem - from the business need, through analysis, to conclusions and recommendations:
    • understand product and data-related needs, and effectively collect requirements, then plan the end-to-end process;
    • work closely with our data engineers to design, build, and maintain game data pipelines, aligning them with specific reporting and analytics requirements;
    • conduct complex exploratory and statistical analyses in Python and internal tools - including player segmentations and, occasionally, methods like clustering/modeling/ simulating when the problem calls for it;
    • build visualizations and develop "numerical intuition" in colleagues who don't work with data daily.
  • Set KPIs and implement A/B tests to optimize player income throughout the game lifecycle.
  • Organize your own work and support a junior - priorities, requirements, estimates, and leading 1–2 meetings per week;
  • Play an active role in shaping the future of the game title by proactively sharing insights with the game team, suggesting process improvements, and shaping analytics practices.

What are we looking for?

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, or Business Intelligence.
  • Strong practical experience with Python, including analytical libraries, writing clean and reusable code, and using Git for version control.
  • Working knowledge of SQL (we use Postgres and Vertica);
  • A data-driven mindset with strong analytical thinking and a critical approach to problem-solving.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret large datasets to generate actionable insights.
  • Degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Passion for games and a genuine interest in the gaming industry.
  • Fluent in English and Polish.

Amaze us with: What do we offer in return?

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Experience building interactive dashboards with tools such as Streamlit.
  • Familiarity with basic machine learning techniques, including regression, classification, and clustering.
  • Experience working in the mobile gaming industry.
  • Experience designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests.

What do we offer in return?

  • Real impact on the product through analytical work that delivers quickly measurable results.
  • Hands-on experience with a modern technology stack and large-scale data (tens of terabytes and millions of active players).
  • Excellent learning and development opportunities through close collaboration with experienced Senior Analysts and the Head of R&D, as part of a supportive and collaborative team of 20 R&D professionals.
