Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Technical Lead in Warsaw to steer end-to-end data science projects, framing problems with clients and signing off on modeling approaches. You’ll mentor the team, set standards, and stay hands-on on production-grade Python tasks across major cloud platforms.

You’ll work with platforms like Microsoft Fabric, Palantir Foundry, Databricks, and Snowflake, collaborating with AI Architects and client stakeholders to align technical decisions with business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data science with models shipped to production.
• Minimum 2 years leading or mentoring other data scientists.
• Strong Python skills across the standard data stack.
• Experience with cloud/data platforms and their data science components.
• Experience in client-facing or consulting contexts.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and Polish.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of data science engagements: design, modeling, validation, delivery quality.
• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists: reviews, career development, standards.
• Stay hands-on: prototype approaches and contribute production-grade Python where it matters.
• Translate client problems into scoped, estimable data science workstreams.
• Set and enforce engineering standards: reproducibility, experiment tracking, testing.
