Job summary

VirtusLab is seeking a data-focused software engineer to own data quality on a key data processing platform. You will identify data quality issues, analyze root causes, and craft offline remedies that do not affect production performance.

The role blends data engineering, analytics, and automation, working with JVM tech (Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot), GCP, BigQuery, and Beam/Kafka. You’ll join a seasoned team and shape data quality practices for a large data ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, GCP and BigQuery.
• Experience building data quality tooling and remediation checks.
• Ability to work with Data Quality concepts and observability.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and fix data quality issues at scale.
• Develop offline data quality solutions with minimal production impact.
• Propose and implement proactive data quality monitoring and checks.
