Job summary

Stryker is seeking a data protection professional to lead DLP controls across endpoints, email, and cloud, reducing data exposure and strengthening lifecycle protection. You will implement classification, labeling, and encryption policies aligned with governance standards and coordinate with Legal, Privacy, HR, Compliance, and IT.

The role requires at least 2 years in cybersecurity, experience with Microsoft Purview or MIP, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in cybersecurity with data protection or DLP focus.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Purview or MIP or similar.
• Strong understanding of data classification and encryption and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to translate technical data into actionable recommendations.
• Experience leading teams or contractors.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience analyzing security incidents and root cause investigations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects within timelines.
• Fluent in English.
• Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and optimization of data loss prevention (DLP) controls across endpoints, email, and cloud platforms to reduce data exposure risk.
• Manage and maintain data classification, labeling, and encryption policies aligned with enterprise data governance standards.
• Analyze DLP alerts and incidents, identify root causes, and drive remediation to improve detection accuracy and reduce repeat incidents.
• Develop and enhance detection use cases to identify sensitive data exposure, unauthorized sharing, and data exfiltration.
• Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, HR, Compliance, and IT teams to ensure controls meet regulatory requirements such as GDPR and SOX.
• Oversee delivery of cybersecurity initiatives by external partners, ensuring timely execution and adherence to quality standards.
• Support implementation of email encryption and secure external sharing mechanisms to protect sensitive communications.
• Produce operational dashboards and executive reports to track program effectiveness, risk trends, and adoption of data protection controls.
