Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a data product professional to join the Operations Data Products & Governance team. You will partner with Product Owners, gather data requirements, and support agile ceremonies while aligning data assets with governance standards.

Work from a U.S. Bank location at least three days per week and contribute to data cataloging, lineage, and analytics across governance, quality, and architecture teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience in product management and data governance practices.
  • Ability to gather data requirements from clients and translate into data products.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, cataloging, and lineage concepts.
  • Experience supporting agile ceremonies (standups, refinement, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Owners to manage Data Product(s).
  • Gather data requirements from Clients & Consumers for Data Products.
  • Support Refinement, Product Management, and day-to-day Stand-ups.
  • Assess needs of Business Metrics Lineage and coordinate lineage needs.
  • Refine & Deploy data assets aligned with Data Governance standards.
  • Lead Agile practices and Scrum rituals.

Job Description

Person in this role will bring to the Operations Data Products & Governance team Data as a Product in service to Governance as a Service mindset. This role supports our Data Product Owners through backlog refinement, data pipeline change testing, and efforts supporting our quality, cataloging & lineage organizations. You will support operations through business metrics-based Requirements Gathering, Data Product development & implementation, and supporting the orchestration of Data Engineering, Quality, Linage, Catalogues and Architecture teams across Operations & Technology. Candidate partners across Operations within a Shared Services organization supporting Lines of Business, Risk/Compliance professionals, technology, and business line leaders to deploy data products and maintain data governance practices as it relates to data, analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • Partners with Product Owners to manage the Data Product(s)

  • Gathers data requirements from Clients & Consumers for Data Products

  • Supports Refinement, Product Management, and day-to-day Stand-ups

  • Assesses the needs of Business Metrics Lineage & coordinates new lineage needs

  • Refines & Deploys data assets which align with Data Governance standards

  • Leads Agile ways of Working / Scrum Team Rituals

Requirements:
  • Agile / Waterfall development practices, Product Management / Product Owner, Data Catalogs, Databricks, Snowflake, Data Quality, Structured Query Language (SQL), Data Analytics (Power BI, Tableau, Python, Alteryx (a plus))

  • Familiarity with Databricks or Snowflake architecture, including data cataloging, lineage, access and integration with governance tools like Unity Catalog / Collibra

  • Deployed Cloud (Azure, AWS) Data Platform Solutions on behalf of Organization, serving Enterprise marketplace

  • Explored A.I. acceleration through the use of tools and/or agents

Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
