Job summary

Arla Foods in Poland is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to help build and evolve the Arla Data Foundation Platform, the backbone for data-driven decisions across the organization. You will join a strong international team, design and implement data components, CI/CD pipelines, and secure, observable systems using Azure Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Terraform.

The role requires collaboration with stakeholders, adherence to security and compliance standards, and a hybrid work model with 50%

Qualifications

• Strong programming and data engineering skills relevant to building data platforms.
• Experience with Azure Databricks and cloud data ecosystems.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Azure Data Factory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver working software increments (services, APIs, data pipelines) with tests and documentation.
• Perform code reviews and refactoring to improve maintainability and performance.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Ensure observability with logging, metrics, tracing and responsive dashboards.

How You Will Make An Impact

You will be a part of a strong international team, developing and maintaining the Arla Data Foundation Platform. You will contribute to the continuous evolution of our platform to ensure that we support the business by delivering a modern state-of-the-art enterprise-grade data platform.

Area of responsibility

• Design, build, test, andoperatehigh-quality, secure software/data components for the Arla Foundation Platform.
• Improve code quality, automate tests and deployments, and enhance observability and reliability.
• Contribute to incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Specific tasks

• Deliver working software increments (services, APIs, data pipelines) with unit/integration tests and clear documentation.
• Perform code reviews and refactoring to improve maintainability, performance, and resilience; manage local technical debt.
• Implement andmaintainCI/CD pipelines; automate build, test, and deploy; contribute to infrastructure-as-code.
• Ensure observability implement logging, metrics, tracing; create dashboards and alerts; analyze performance.
• Remediate vulnerabilities; follow security/privacy/compliance standards; support audits on assigned scope.
• Provide production support triage incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in estimation and planning; provide predictable delivery and status transparency to the team.
