Job summary

SmartRecruiters is seeking a technical engineer to support data migrations, integrations, and automation for customers on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will work with Talend ETL, Python, and public/private APIs to move and transform data.

You will collaborate with our San Francisco-based Professional Services team to deliver robust data solutions and automate processes across platforms, empowering our customers to succeed.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience with ETL tools, Talend preferred.
• At least 1 year of professional programming experience (Python stack).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git/Github, HTTP(S) protocol and web app security.
• Experience building integrations between web applications.
• Knowledge of RESTful web services.
• Team player.
• Fast learner with a passion for technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform data imports from various sources using Talend ETL, Python scripts, and public/private APIs.
• Perform data extracts and data dumps.
• Build ability to create demo environments.
• Build data import applications.
• Build integrations between different external web applications.
• Improve and optimize data services processes.
• Work closely with the Professional Services team based in San Francisco to address customers’ requests.
• Become an expert in your area of interest and evangelize colleagues.
