Job summary

SNI is seeking a Data Modeler to design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models, with focus on dimensional modeling and data mesh concepts. You will define ETL/ELT transformations, collaborate with analysts, data engineers, platform architects, and product owners across all delivery stages, and ensure performance, governance, and cloud cost-efficiency in data architectures.

Fluency in Polish and English is required; experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of professional data modeling experience.
• Hands-on experience with dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake).
• Strong SQL skills for complex data queries and validation.
• Knowledge of cloud data architectures and ETL/ELT pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models adhering to established methodologies (e.g., Kimball dimensional modeling, Data Mesh).
• Define, specify, and document data transformation logic, lineage, and integration rules between source systems and analytical targets.
• Propose, evaluate, and document data modeling and integration solutions aligned with enterprise data strategy and functional business needs.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, source-system SMEs, data engineers, platform architects, and product owners across all delivery stages.
• Ensure data models incorporate performance optimization, scalability, governance, and cloud cost-efficiency from inception.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, metadata standards, and data dictionary assets.
• Communicate architectural concepts, data flows, and modeling trade-offs effectively to both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Skills:

• 2+ years of professional experience in data modeling, with hands-on focus on dimensional modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Kimball methodology).
• Proficient SQL skills for complex data querying, validation, transformation logic design, and performance profiling.
• Practical knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT pipelines, and modern cloud analytical data architectures (e.g., Data Mesh, Data Lakehouse).
• Demonstrated ability to create clear conceptual, logical, and physical ER diagrams and comprehensive mapping documentation.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to bridge business requirements with underlying source-system schemas.
• Fluency in Polish and English (

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse).
• Familiarity with data modeling and metadata management tools (e.g., Erwin, PowerDesigner, ER/Studio, dbt).
• Experience with CI/CD practices and version control (Git) applied to database schemas and transformation logic.
