Job summary

Your ITeams Sp. z o.o. is seeking an experienced Data Migrations Expert to lead a large-scale platform migration and vendor replacement in the Hadoop/Cloudera domain.

The role is hybrid, based in Gdańsk or Warsaw, with three days per week in the office. You will combine strong project management discipline with deep technical understanding to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery. As the lead, you will coordinate vendor changes, plan delivery activities, manage budgets, and report progress

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience leading large-scale migrations or vendor replacements in Hadoop/Cloudera domains.
• Strong risk and issue management with pragmatic mitigation/escalation.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate complex tech info into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage delivery activities: schedules, dependencies, resources, risks.
• Manage project budget and financial forecasting for accurate reporting.

We are seeking an experienced Data Migrations Expert to lead a large-scale platform migration and vendor replacement in the Hadoop / Cloudera domain for a major banking client. This long-term position is hybrid, based in Gdańsk or Warsaw with three days per week in the office. The person in this role will combine strong project management discipline with deep technical understanding to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vendor change as the project manager, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders.
• Plan and manage delivery activities, including schedules, dependencies, resource allocation and risk mitigation.
• Manage project budget and financial forecasting to support transparent, accurate reporting.
• Monitor and report delivery progress and risks; proactively identify issues and escalate as needed to maintain predictable execution.
• Promote and uphold project management discipline and a strong delivery culture across the team.
• Organise and run project team meetings, maintain clear minutes and action tracking.
• Prepare and deliver progress reporting and Steering Committee (SteerCo) updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience with a proven track record leading large-scale platform migrations or vendor replacement projects in the Hadoop / Cloudera domain.
• Strong risk and issue management skills with a pragmatic approach to mitigation and escalation.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; able to synthesise complex technical and business information into clear, actionable insights.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders and drive follow-up actions.
• Demonstrated experience managing relationships with executive stakeholders and diverse delivery teams.
• Project ownership, proactivity and a positive, can-do attitude.
