Job summary

Optiveum is seeking a Data Lineage Consultant to analyze databases and map data flows, creating lineage documentation and maintaining it in IBM IGC. The role collaborates with technical and business stakeholders to clarify data flows, dependencies, and documentation needs.

The position is hybrid with Warsaw location, offering contract work with daily responsibilities and a focus on data structures, SQL testing, Snowflake usage, and Excel-driven analyses.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of databases, data flows and data structures.
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience with database / DW / BI testing.
• Basic knowledge of Snowflake.
• Ability to analyse and validate data and identify discrepancies.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Good communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Basic project management experience.
• Fluent English.
• Willingness to provide a criminal record certificate.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analysing databases and existing technical documentation.
• Understanding and mapping data flows between systems and databases.
• Identifying data sources, transformations and destinations.
• Creating and maintaining data lineage documentation.
• Updating and managing data lineage information in the IBM IGC tool.
• Working with technical and business stakeholders to clarify data flows and dependencies.
• Supporting the project with data-related documentation and analysis.
