Job summary

Cytiva is seeking a Director, Data Governance to establish enterprise-wide data governance strategy, ensuring data quality, compliance, and trust across critical systems. This role drives measurable impact by enabling reliable data use for analytics, regulatory reporting and decision-making.

It reports to Sr Director, Data Platform and is an on-site role in Kraków. You will define policies, partner with leaders across business and technology, oversee GDPR/HIPAA compliance, lead data stewardship,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience leading data governance and data management programs.
• Knowledge of DAMA‑DMBOK, DCAM and metadata practices.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
• Strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA and data privacy.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide data governance framework, policies, standards, and processes.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to ensure high data quality, metadata management, and master data alignment.
• Oversee compliance with data-related regulations and internal controls.
• Lead a data stewardship program with clear ownership across domains.
• Drive adoption of data governance tools and practices to ensure data transparency.
• Develop and track metrics to measure data quality and governance impact.
