Job summary

Nordea in Warsaw is seeking a Database Expert to design and document trusted data foundations across modern data platforms. You will shape data architecture, data models, and integration patterns for trusted data.

You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to ensure data quality, governance, and secure data flows across ETL processes using technologies like Snowflake, Kafka, Hadoop, Spark.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in data architecture and design, data modelling and data warehousing.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data integration patterns.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database design and management.
• Experience with Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark and Kafka ecosystems.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality and CI/CD concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design efficient database schemas and data models, with data dictionaries and documentation.
• Improve database reliability, performance, security, backup and recovery strategies.
• Create data ingestion, transformation and quality-control patterns across multiple sources.
• Support system integration with event-driven patterns and message queues.
• Plan work packages, timelines and technical roadmaps for data infrastructure.
