Job summary

Nordea Group Technology is seeking a Database Expert to design, document and improve trusted data foundations across modern data platforms and integrated systems within the Credit Decision Data Store team.

You will translate complex data concepts into clear solutions, collaborating with data scientists, analysts and engineers to shape data architecture and governance practices that underpin secure, scalable data delivery across the bank.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data architecture and design for data warehousing and integration.
• Expertise in SQL and NoSQL database design and management, with strong data modelling skills.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools such as DataStage and Informatica; familiar with Snowflake ETL, Hadoop, Spark and Kafka.
• Understanding of UML diagrams, BPMN and end-to-end process thinking; ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and CI/CD concepts in data environments.

Responsibilities

• Design efficient database schemas and data models aligned with business needs.
• Improve database reliability, performance, security, backups and recovery strategies.
• Design data ingestion, transformation and quality-control patterns across multiple sources.
• Support integration across systems with event-driven patterns and data synchronization.
• Help define the technical roadmap for data infrastructure and estimate effort and timelines.
