Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven experience working as a Data Engineer.
  • Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and data transformation.
  • Proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.
  • Solid understanding of Data Warehouse architecture and ETL/ELT concepts.
  • Strong Python programming skills focused on data processing.
  • Experience using GitHub for version control and collaborative development.

What you will be doing:

  • Working in Data Integration Projects, creating and improving data acquisition processes and building data extracts that expand the functionality of our data model and solutions for stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that all solutions and processes are properly documented.
  • Working on data ingestion and transformation, using Kafka and/or Postgres.

You are a good match if you have:

  • 5+ years of proven experience working as a Data Engineer
  • Databases & Transformation: Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and data transformation.
  • SQL Expertise: Proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.
  • Data Warehousing: Solid understanding of Data Warehouse architecture and ETL/ELT concepts.
  • Python Skills: Strong Python programming skills focused on data processing.
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Experience using GitHub for version control and collaborative development, including familiarity with CI/CD pipeline.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in English.

Nice to have:

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the Financial Services or Fintech industry.
  • Regulatory Experience: Background in working within regulated environments.
  • Streaming & Real-Time Processing: Experience in reading and processing data from Kafka or similar streaming platforms, as well as event-driven architecture and real-time data pipelines.
  • Agile Tools: Familiarity with agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Miro.
