EPAM Systems (Poland) sp. z o.o. poszukuje inżyniera danych do zaprojektowania i implementacji skalowalnego silnika wyszukiwania dla przedsiębiorstwa.

Kluczowe będą projektowanie, budowa i optymalizacja platformy umożliwiającej intuicyjne przeszukiwanie danych firmy. Wymagane co najmniej 3 lata doświadczenia w Data Engineering, silne umiejętności SQL, Python i Spark oraz znajomość usług Azure (Databricks, Data Lake, Data Factory).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 lata doświadczenia jako Data Engineer, w tym praca w środowiskach Big Data
• Dobra znajomość SQL i systemów baz danych (relacyjnych i NoSQL), w tym optymalizacja zapytań i projektowanie schematów
• Silne umiejętności programowania w Pythonie i Spark
• Doświadczenie z usługami Azure (Azure Databricks, Data Lake, Data Factory) będzie atutem
• Doskonała komunikacja i umiejętność przekładania potrzeb biznesowych na rozwiązania techniczne

Responsibilities

• Projektowanie, budowa i optymalizacja wewnętrznego silnika wyszukiwania danych
• Analiza zestawów danych i metadanych w celu poprawy wyszukiwalności, indeksowania i trafności
• Gromadzenie i doprecyzowanie wymagań dotyczących wyszukiwania z interesariuszami biznesowymi i IT
• Tłumaczenie potrzeb biznesowych na specyfikacje techniczne i wspieranie Agile
• Zapewnienie integracji z szerszym ekosystemem danych (data, platforma, analytics)
• Wspieranie testów, monitorowanie wydajności wyszukiwania, trafności i użyteczności
• Przygotowywanie raportów analitycznych o dostępności danych i skuteczności wyszukiwania

Job description

Nasze wymagania:

• 3 years + of experience as a Data Engineer, including exposure to large-scale or Big Data environments
• Strong experience with SQL and database systems (relational and NoSQL), including query optimization and schema design
• Strong programming skills in Python and Spark
• Experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Databricks, Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory, would be beneficial
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate search-related needs into technical solutions

We are looking for a Data Engineer who will take a leading role in designing and implementing a scalable enterprise search engine - a platform that provides stakeholders with an intuitive, efficient, and reliable way to query and explore the firm’s data landscape.

This is a hybrid role requiring presence in the client's office in Krakow 3 days a week, with flexible working hours.

Zakres obowiązków:

• Design, build, and optimize an internal data search engine
• Analyze datasets and metadata to improve searchability, indexing, and relevance
• Gather and refine search and data discovery requirements with business and IT stakeholders
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and support Agile delivery
• Ensure integration with the broader data ecosystem (data, platform, analytics teams)
• Support testing and monitor search performance, accuracy, and usability
• Prepare analytical reports on data availability and search effectiveness
