Job summary

Aviva Services Excellence Centre in Warsaw is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and modern data stack tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement data modelling best practices, and ensure data quality, security, and high availability across the data lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Knowledge of Snowflake scripting (PLSQL or python).
• Understanding ETL/ELT and Snowflake architecture.
• Knowledge of file formats (Parquet, JSON, YAML).
• Familiar with Snowflake features: data sharing, masking policies, time travel, stages, clustering, roles.
• Experience with version control and code reviews (Git).
• Understanding basic data structures and modelling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
• Implement best practices for data modelling and cost-efficient architecture.
• Conduct code reviews for high-quality data engineering solutions.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and security across the data lifecycle.
• Automate data workflows and integrate diverse data sources into Snowflake.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines for high availability and performance.
