Johnson Controls is seeking a Data Engineer/Analyst to design, develop, and scale analytics-ready data models for Workforce Analytics. You will turn raw data into trusted datasets in Snowflake using Coalesce.io and collaborate with HR and IT teams.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Strong SQL skills with advanced transformations and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with transformation frameworks (Coalesce.io, dbt, or similar).
• Proven track record designing analytics-ready data models that solve business problems at scale.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake preferred).
• Familiarity with HR data (Workday) and SCDs is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Design and maintain modular, reusable transformation pipelines in Coalesce.io.
• Build analytics-ready Snowflake models (headcount, attrition, recruiting pipelines).
• Apply best practices for layered architecture (raw → staging → curated) and scalable model design.
• Model complex HR datasets: employee lifecycle, org hierarchies, job/position structures, recruiting pipelines.
• Handle effective-dated data, slowly changing dimensions, and point-in-time reporting.
• Implement data quality checks and validation logic.
• Ensure accuracy of key workforce metrics; resolve data issues with Integration and Platform teams.
• Write efficient, optimized SQL; improve model and query performance.
• Design structures aligned with secure consumption patterns.
• Partner with Integration Engineers on source systems (Workday) and Platform Engineers on access models.
• Translate business requirements from People Analytics/HR into data models and standardized metrics.
• Enable self-service analytics through well-documented datasets.
• Use Azure DevOps/GitHub for version control and CI/CD.
• Maintain clear documentation for models and logic.

Условия
