Square One Resources is seeking an experienced Data & Analytics Consultant to join the client’s cloud-based data team. The role covers end-to-end data flows, building pipelines in Python and SQL, and developing BigQuery semantic models and Power BI reports that feed into the BI roadmap.

You will work 100% remotely, starting mid-December, with workload shifting from 100% to 50% through the year, and a strong emphasis on maintainable code, documentation, and version control.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data/Analytics Engineer on cloud platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP and BigQuery, building production pipelines in Python and SQL
• Experience with Apache Airflow and external API integrations
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD
• Structured and self-driven with emphasis on documentation and knowledge sharing

O projekcie: We are looking for an experienced Data & Analytics Consultant to add hands-on capacity to the internal data team. The client's data platform runs on Google Cloud, with BigQuery at its centre. The consultant will work across the whole data flow. That means building and maintaining pipelines in Python and SQL, running orchestration in Apache Airflow with third-party API integrations, and deploying and troubleshooting containerised workloads on Cloud Run. The role also covers curated data models and semantic layers in BigQuery, plus Power BI models and reports that feed into the wider BI roadmap. The client wants a data or analytics engineer who can work independently, writes maintainable code and takes version control, code reviews and documentation seriously.

• Location: 100% Remote
• Workload: 100% to July 27, then 50% rest of year
• Start: Middle of December

Wymagania

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer or similar on cloud-based data platforms
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP and BigQuery, building production pipelines in Python and SQL
• Experience with Apache Airflow and external API integrations
• Experience with Docker (ideally)
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, ELT/ETL, dimensional modelling and Power BI semantic models
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD
• Structured and self-driven, with a strong focus on documentation and knowledge sharing
