Job summary

AMD Poland (Gdansk, hybrid) is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to define and drive the architecture of next-generation data platforms. You will work with a lead team to shape and advance AMD’s data architecture capabilities, enabling high-quality, industry-leading AI technologies to market.

You will design end-to-end data architectures, ensure data quality and security, and collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and platform teams to translate requirements into production-grade data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or large-scale data platform design.
• Experience designing data architectures to support AI/ML workloads.
• Hands-on with cloud-native lake house architectures and ML toolchains.
• Deep understanding of MLOps, data versioning, experiment tracking, and CI/CD for ML.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; strong data pipeline performance reasoning.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data for analytics and ML use cases.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, privacy, and compliant AI considerations.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, storage, compute, and cost optimization.
• Ability to collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, platform teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end data architectures, including data lakes and analytics platforms.
• Translate business and product requirements into actionable data designs and interface contracts.
• Evaluate modern data technologies and patterns to optimize scalability and cost.
• Drive design and evolution of core data platform components with a focus on quality and reliability.
