Job summary

Billennium, a global technology company, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong Databricks expertise to join a data-focused project in Poland. You will design, build, and optimize data platforms within the Azure ecosystem to ensure scalability and reliability.

You will develop ETL/ELT pipelines, implement data integration with ADF, Logic Apps, and Functions, write efficient SQL, and collaborate with architects and business partners while improving CI/CD and governance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Databricks at senior level.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
• Advanced SQL skills including performance tuning.
• Experience designing modern data platforms.
• Experience with Git repositories and version control.
• Good communication and distributed-team collaboration.
• Willingness to work onsite in Wrocław.

Responsibilities

About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong Databricks expertise to join a data‑focused project. In this role, you will be responsible for building and optimizing modern data solutions within the Azure ecosystem, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability of data platforms.

Your responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data solutions using Databricks and Azure services
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for large‑scale data processing
• Develop data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions
• Create and optimize complex SQL queries and database performance
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data‑driven solutions
• Maintain and improve CI/CD processes and code repositories using Git
• Ensure high standards of data quality, security, and governance

Must have:

• Strong commercial experience with Databricks (senior level)
• Very good Python programming skills
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Experience with Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions
• Advanced SQL skills, including query performance tuning and optimization
• Experience in designing and developing modern data platforms
• Experience working with Git repositories and version control systems
• Good communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams
• Availability for onsite work from the Wrocław office

Nice to have:

• Experience in ETL development using SSIS
• Knowledge of Azure data platform services and cloud best practices
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines in data engineering projects
