Job summary

Billennium is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join the Partnering Digital Solutions team. You will design scalable data platforms, build robust data pipelines, and enable advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions for a global pharmaceutical client.

You will lead architecture decisions, ensure data quality and governance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to accelerate data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles, including leading projects or initiatives.
• Proven track record designing and scaling cloud-based data platforms (preferably AWS).
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and advanced data modeling.
• Experience leading architecture decisions and implementing best practices.
• Understanding of data quality, integration, transformation, and governance.
• Excellent communication skills to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with semantic data models, ontology, taxonomies, or knowledge graphs.
• Entity modeling, relationships, metadata, and data standardization across sources.
• Translating complex business concepts into reusable data models for analytics, AI/ML.
• Experience supporting AI/ML data pipelines and workflows.

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our client, a global pharmaceutical company, and become part of the Partnering Digital Solutions team. This strategic team focuses on maximizing the impact of partnerships through digital solutions and AI-enabled ecosystems.

In this role, you will work on building scalable data platforms, designing robust data pipelines, and enabling advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions. You will contribute to high-impact initiatives, including the development of intelligent data products, optimization of complex data ecosystems, and integration of innovative external capabilities. Working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, you will help accelerate data-driven decision-making and create business value through modern data engineering practices.

What we are looking for:

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles, including experience leading projects or initiatives.
• Proven track record designing and scaling cloud-based data platforms (preferably AWS).
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and advanced data modeling, including hands-on experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models for complex, heterogeneous datasets.
• Experience leading architecture decisions and implementing best practices.
• Strong understanding of data quality, integration, transformation, and governance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stkeholders.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing semantic data models, semantic layers, ontologies, taxonomies, or knowledge graphs.
• Strong understanding of entity modeling, relationships, metadata, entity resolution, and data standardization across disparate data sources.
• Experience translating complex business or domain concepts into reusable data models and semantic structures that support analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise data products.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, Athena, etc.).
• Experience supporting AI/ML data pipelines and workflows.
• Familiarity with metadata management and data governance frameworks.
• Experience in healthcare/life sciences or partnering domains.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
