Job summary

TechTree is seeking a Data Center Technician in Warsaw, on-site, for a long-term contract with our client. Install, maintain, and decommission DC components, servers and switches; manage cabling and inventories; and coordinate hardware lifecycle with the DC Contract Manager.

The role requires hands-on rack & cabling experience, 3+ years IT/DC ops, a valid B category driving licence, and willingness to obtain EU confidential clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IT experience, 2+ years in data center operations.
• Hands-on rack/cabling/PDU experience and basic LAN/switching knowledge.
• Comfortable with physical/manual-handling demands of a DC environment.
• Valid driving licence (category B).
• Willingness to hold CONFIDENTIEL UE/EU CONFIDENTIAL clearance.

Responsibilities

We're recruiting on behalf of a major EU Justice & Home Affairs agency for a long-term, on-site data center technician role in Warsaw.

This is a physical infrastructure role — installing, cabling, and maintaining server and network hardware, not a remote sysadmin position.

What You'll Do

• Install/decommission DC components, servers, and network switches (Rack & Stack)
• Maintain cabling, labelling, and inventory audits
• Manage stores & logistics and the hardware lifecycle
• Support hardware maintenance/RMA with the DC Contract Manager

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years IT experience, 2+ years in data center operations

Long-term contract: 12-month initial term with up to 3 annual renewals (up to 48 months total). Occasional travel, reimbursed up to €8,000/year.
