Qualifications

Tasks

• Data Center Infrastructure Management: Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
• Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor the performance, availability, and capacity of data center systems, ensuring optimal efficiency and uptime.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues within the data center to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
• Disaster Recovery and Backup: Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup strategies to protect critical data and systems in case of failures.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure data center operations comply with security protocols and industry standards, implementing physical and logical security measures.
• Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and system changes. Prepare reports on system performance and incidents.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with other IT teams (network, storage, security) to ensure seamless integration and support for all data center systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (2-5 years) in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting data center infrastructure (servers, storage, networking).
• Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking protocols, virtualization technologies, and storage solutions.
• Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Understanding of data center security practices, including physical security, firewalls, encryption, and access control.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA) related to data center operations and security.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and support staff.
