Lufthansa Systems Poland is hiring a Data Engineer/Architect to help build a scalable data platform for one of the aviation industry's largest data warehouses. You will shape architecture, migrate from Teradata to Databricks, and work with complex, international data ecosystems in an agile, collaborative environment.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering/architecture, strong SQL, Databricks and PySpark experience, and availability in Gdańsk 2x per week. Polish language is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineering/Architecture/Data Warehousing.
• Strong SQL & procedural DB languages (T-SQL, PL/SQL).
• Experience designing scalable data solutions/architectures.
• Hands-on with Databricks, PySpark, Python (Pandas, NumPy).
• Git experience; Data modeling & integration patterns know-how.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Design data architectures, models and integration patterns.
• Support architectural decisions and guide the development team.
• Analyze and improve migration from Teradata to Databricks.
• Design, develop and enhance data pipelines with the DWH Product Owner.
• Work with stakeholders to define, validate and prototype solutions.
• Ensure quality, performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Prepare documentation, effort estimates and recommendations.
• Share knowledge and improve standards within the team.
