Job summary

KODA.AI is seeking a senior technologist to own the platform architecture and LLM-related decisions for our GenAI platform, serving large enterprises in Poland. You will guide the long-term direction, balance feasibility and cost, and lead the engineering team to deliver scalable AI solutions.

You will work with Node.js, TypeScript, and Vue, making build-vs-buy decisions, and collaborating with product owners and clients to shape the product, architecture, and roadmap.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing complex technology products or platforms.
• LLMs and GenAI are technologies you know from production environments, not just experiments and PoCs.
• You can make architectural decisions with incomplete information and clearly communicate the trade-offs.

Job description

We build GenAI solutions on our custom-made AI platform for some of the largest companies in Poland, including TVN, Żabka, Biedronka, and Santander Consumer Bank.

We’re looking for someone to take full technological ownership of KODA: from platform architecture and LLM-related decisions to the long-term direction of our development team.

Someone who can think several steps ahead and decide not only how something should be built, but also what is worth building and what consequences that decision will have for the platform as a whole.

What you’ll be responsible for

defining KODA’s technology direction and the long-term architecture of our AI platform,

assessing new product and client needs in terms of feasibility, limitations, cost, and impact on the wider system,

making key architectural decisions across both the application and GenAI layers,

shaping how we use LLMs: from model selection and evaluation to RAG, context engineering, and tool/function calling,

solving problems related to quality, latency, stability, and scalability in production AI systems,

designing reusable platform capabilities that can support multiple implementations instead of building one-off solutions for individual clients,

providing technical leadership to the development team and setting engineering quality standards,

making build-vs-buy decisions and evaluating new technologies, models, and tools,

leading the technical side of discovery for more complex projects and supporting the team in client conversations,

working closely with our technical Product Owner on the direction of the product,

making sure the platform architecture remains coherent and scalable as the product grows.

You’ll be a great fit if

you have experience designing and developing complex technology products or platforms,

LLMs and GenAI are technologies you know from production environments, not just experiments and PoCs,

you can make architectural decisions with incomplete information and clearly communicate the trade-offs involved,

you understand the challenges around quality, latency, cost, and evaluation in LLM-based systems,

you have experience technically leading a team and building strong engineering standards,

you have a strong software engineering background; experience with Node.js and TypeScript will be particularly relevant to our current platform,

you’re still comfortable getting hands-on with code — whether that means building a PoC, doing a code review, or digging into a complex technical problem yourself,

you can communicate confidently with both developers and business stakeholders,

you’re comfortable with a high level of responsibility and genuine decision-making authority,

*experience with Voice AI will be a strong advantage, especially voicebots, STT/TTS, streaming, real-time processing, or latency optimisation.
